    Remarks & Notes
After idling in Union Station, the first time the engineer notched up all the built-up soot in the cylinders was blown out as these three elephant-style E7 ladies demonstrated. Photo taken from Roosevelt Road Bridge. The tallest building to the right is the Board of Trade, which today would be obscured by the new and larger Board of Trade Building. The whitish building to the left is the Post Office in the air space above the Station's south tracks. It has a hole through it for Architect Daniel Burnham's Congress Boulevard (Eisenhower, nee Congress, Expressway).
