| On Oct. 7th, Savage Bingham & Garfield received a pair of repainted EMD GP38's for service in the Salt Lake Valley area. SVGX 8619 was built by EMD as the Louisville & Nashville 4047 in June 1971. Later it would become the SP 4873 (in HLCX colors) and patched to the UP 498 after the merger. |
