Remarks & Notes

The sunset is just about 30 minutes away as I make my way down Cold Spring Hill toward Marshfield Station after a long day on the mountain. The fading fall foliage is warmed by the golden light while the glowing rails and wafting smoke lead my eyes to the trains being tied down for the night. Shortly, the last two trips of the day will arrive back at Marshfield and this unique little railroad yard will fall silent once again.
