| It's Christmas Eve and a call to the trainmaster in Whitefish said not much would be running over the pass this day. After shooting a late running Amtrak 8 I was on my way to return the rented snowshoes to the Izaak Walton Inn when I ran into this eastbound manifest at the summit. I turned around and chased him east in a blinding snow squall on the east side of the divide. The result proved worthwhile here just west of the siding at Bison as the heavily powered train curls downgrade. |
