| A pair of EMD SD9043MACs haul 105 cars of Savage coal up Price River Canyon at Castle Gate monument. This iconic sandstone 'gate' was utilized extensively by the D&RGW in early advertising campaigns touting the scenic splendor along it's original 745 mile route from Denver to Salt Lake City, via Pueblo, Colorado. Note the American flag flowing proudly atop the gate. |
