At the apex of a 50 mile climb from Provo, Union Pacific's Salt Lake to Denver manifest tops Soldier Summit on UP's former D&RGW. Bitter overnight temperatures (down to 7 degrees F.) have left behind a frosty display of winter in the Wasatch.
