| View looking forward from the back platform of ARR business car 2000, the "Aurora." On this day the ARR was running a special charter for Japanese Airlines transporting 250 happy Japanese visitors from Fairbanks to Anchorage. The ARR tacked their business car on the rear for an operations staff meeting, but a few moments were stolen away enroute for some photography. Here the head end can be seen as the train wends its way south through the treacherous confines of the Healy Canyon and the frozen Nenana River far below. |
