| The last rays of sun shine onto the last Kentucky Cardinal as it backs towards Louisville's Union Station
for its northbound trip to Chicago.The KC which began
in December 1999 was for the most part a major failure
for Amtrak with a small ridership, due to track conditions
that made the 300 mile trip over 12 hours.The mural
painted on by the civic minded community expresses
the rich railroad history of the area. |
