| In southern Utah County, four nicely matched Utah Railway MK50-3's move Savage coal westward on Union Pacific's Sharp Subdivision. A crystal clear afternoon offered this view of Utah Valley with the snowcapped Wasatch Range to the north. This perspective is now possible due to a new housing development called 'Summit Ridge' under construction through what used to be private ranch land. A man-made reservoir (visible at right) is owned by a group of local fruit growers to allow irrigation during the long dry months of summer. |
