| Snow Fighting - Alaska Style! - The "snow fleet" is heading back south with the Jordan Spreader trailing two geeps in this southward looking view. The train is framed by the glacier fed Placer River truss bridge. In the foreground is the D-110 CAT which the work train just dropped off. Spencer is not accessible by road so the "snow fleet" train has to shuttle equipment in from Portage, not quite 10 miles to the south. |
