Shot from the nearby Civic Center Drive Bridge, an eastbound CP rolls across the Zumbro River on former DM&E trackage, past the RPU coal-fired power plant on its way to Winona, MN. Interestingly, RPU was a vocal opponent of the DM&E proposed expansion to the Powder River Coal Basin. Only time will tell if CP will complete the project. This photo was made possible by the down turn in the economy - I was able to take an hour-long break from my job in retail-sales, on the day after Thanksgiving. Unthinkable in past years.
