| The Illinois Traction System built eighteen of these "Class B" type electric locomotives between 1910 and 1918. These "Class B" type locomotives remained in freight service for the Illinois Terminal until the railroad ended electric operations in 1956. Here, the IRM brings the past back to life by operating the 1565 with a short freight train for their Trolley Pageant. Despite the rain, a rather large crowd showed up for the pageant. |
