| Veteran Swiss 4-6-2 electric No 10646 heads the 16.26 Schaffhausen to Rorschach train. The Untersee through which the River Rhein flows from the Bodensee (Lake Constance) can be seen in the background with Germany on the far shore. There were originally 114 of these general purpose locos built in 1921-29 by SLM Winterhur with electrical equipment by Brown Boverei (Nos 10601-89) and Oerlikon the remainder. |
