| Crossing the Animas. The 2PM departure from Silverton Station crosses the Animas River just a mile and a half south of town. Here, she enters the Animas Canyon. For the next two hours, she'll run in the wilderness of the San Juan National Forest, not seeing civilization again until she reaches Rockwood. |
