              Remarks & Notes
Only a few blocks from my fraternity in Pullman, the last remaining operational wig wag in the State of Washington. Wagging into the cold night, going mostly ignored by motorists, the relic from Los Angles may soon become a piece of history. Tonight, the wig wag swings without a train for miles. Later, the signal maintainer will come to disconnect the power to the swinging, dinging lollipop. When will it be reconnected? With the amount of traffic on the dead end line to Colfax and the usual flagging of the two Kamiaken Street crossings, it might be a long time, if ever, before it swings again. In the background, one can see the crossbucks and new LED flashers for the line north to Palouse, Oakesdale, Rosalia, and Marshall.

Hard to find today, wig-wags are interesting grade crossing protection.
