| The Palo Express rolls northbound at 30 mph about 5 miles south of Vinton on the 2nd northbound trip of the day. We are standing behind engineer for the day, Bill MaGee, Iowa Northern's assistant General Manager. The Palo Express ran as a push-pull operation today with the 678 doing all the work for the 4 roundtrips.
The 678 was retired by the IANR in early 2024. |
