A trio of big GE motors cut in mid-train, help to propel a UP Savage, UT to Trona, CA coal load west through Kyune, Utah. The 2.3% ruling grade from Castle Gate westward to West Kyune moderates to a nearly 'flat' (by Rio Grande standards) 1% gradient from this point to the top at Soldier Summit (11 miles).
