Identical twins #400 and #401 began their lives out west, beating the mountains that caused other engines to overheat. They came to Minnesota and conquered the snow wearing the classy maroon of the Missabe. Now they soldier on, casualties of CN's buying war, but pulling as hard as ever. UPDATE: DMIR #401 was destroyed as the trailing unit in a head on collision with another ore train on 9-30-2010.
