| Near the end of regular service on the Soo's St. Ignace-Trout Lake line, 4418 and 4419 trundle through "downtown" Moran with 6 cars. The few D&M cars in the train suggest that the Chief Wawatam had been make one of its increasingly infrequent trips across the Straits of Mackinac earlier in the day. At this time Moran still rated a short siding where an occasional gon of logs would be loaded. Now this location paralleling state highway M-123 is a ORV/bicycle/recreational path way. |
