      Remarks & Notes
CPR no. 29 plinthed outside the CP HQ in Calgary. It carries a banner promoting a model train show. No. 29 is one of the earliest CPR company-built locomotives still in existence today. It was the last CPR-operated steam locomotive to close the railway's steam era on Nov. 6, 1960. The loco was preserved, and even used to pull its Salem and Hillsborough (S&H) tourist train excursions up to the age of 102. In September 1994, the locomotive was damaged by a fire at the S&H museum site. The burned out locomotive hulk and tender were shipped to Winnipeg's Weston Shops in the summer of 1996 and restored to their former glory by the shop employees for permanent display in front of CPR's Calgary headquarters.
