    Remarks & Notes
An interesting find in the woods near the Old Whitney boat ramp along the shores of Badin Lake: a cold CLNA 1721 rests at the derail at the end of her siding waiting for the rare chance to get fired up and shuffle some cars around. The CLNA acquired this portion of the former Yadkin RR from Whitney to Badin to use for car storage after the ALCOA plant at the end of the line shut down and regular service along the scenic branch was discontinued. The unit still wears her attractive AC&W colors.
