Remarks & Notes

An empty bare table train tops the grade at Luzerne as they work east towards Clinton, IA, the next crew change. Luzerne is located about 25 miles west of Cedar Rapids, IA, on the double main thru Iowa. CNW 8624 would be renumbered to UP 9688 in March 2004 and SP 8642 would be renumbered to UP 2718 in July 2001.
