After exchanging cars with the LUJ51 local at Echo yard, Union Pacific's LUJ61 local heads east through Echo Canyon bound for Evanston, Wyoming. Dramatic lighting conditions came together just as the train approached and the photographer wasn't sure exactly how it would play out. As luck would have it though, the shot worked out fine. As a bonus, healthy patches of late summer sunflowers were copious along the Evanston Sub through Echo Canyon.
