Broad Street station in London opened in 1865. By 1902 it was handling 27 million passengers a year,although a steady decline in use saw the station finally close for good in 1986. The site is now the Broadgate Office Development. Here,in an image taken two years before closure,we see a pair of class 501 units waitng departure.
