A rare industrial switching opportunity awaited the GMRC Alco RS-1 405 on October 27, when a derailment north of town stranded the regular freight locomotive and the Alco was pulled from the stored White River Flyer passenger train to switch customer, Justin Services, in White River Jct., VT.
