| Bluebird waiting out the blue hour
A one of a kind CEFX SD60 is stopped with train 25J at Austell to wait for a 218 to switch Whittaker ahead of him. A series of delays and idiotic dispatching decisions delayed the 25J as I watch the sun slowly set. I nearly had a throw the camera at the ballast moment when he stopped in Austell right as the sun set. However it worked out to my advantage as the ambient light at the signals was enough for a time exposure of the rare beast. A big thanks to Bryan Lee for the heads up on this train and babysitting it through the painful delays. |
