| Train Time! Excited passengers, weary tour bus drivers, and enthusiastic adventurers, and Jack Goodwell (ARRC's ticket agent - in the orange vest) are on the platform to greet the arrival of the Southbound Denali Star. This big train is the ARR's premier passenger service running 7 days a week in the summer on a 12 hr one way trip from Fairbanks to Anchorage (with a counterpart running northbound daily as well). The Alaska State flag hangs listlessly from the simple wooden depot on a sparkling late spring day in the Last Frontier. |
