| Time spent along the CPR main in the early 90's normally meant a stream of SD40/SD40-2's. The MLW's were still about but could most often be found as trailing units in Northern Ontario. I never was sure if this was due to just the larger amount of EMD's or the crews lack of interest in spending quality time in the cabs of the big MLW's. In this case I was fortunate and caught three M636's leading train 936 early one morning at Cartier. Lots of Kodachrome and fuel was spent chasing this job most of the way to North Bay. 4708, 4736 and DIT 4729 do the honors. |
