| Trouble in ALCO Paradise Since the end of steam, India has been almost the exclusive domain of ALCO powered diesels. However in the last few years these EMD 710 powered units have been making significant inroads, especially on freights such as these ones, displacing some of the older ALCO's into retirement or lesser duties. While no doubt technologically superior, these units dont hold a candle to the rugged classic highhood ALCO's. |
