    Remarks & Notes
Ann Arbor Alco S3 No. 7 was taking a momentary break at the yard in Elberta, MI on June 18, 1981. Ann Arbor car ferry "MV Viking" had arrived from Manitowoc, WI and the cars unloaded. Soon westbound Train No. 501 would arrive and No. 7 would be busy again reloading the ship. Former GTW car ferry "SS City of Milwaukee" is moored in the background. From what I understood at the time, it was serving as a backup for the Ann Arbor ships.
