Utah Southern Railroad's iron ore train is returning from Stockton, CA to Iron Springs, UT for reloading with a matched set of GEVO units (UP 7881, 7919, and 7679). The 81 car train heads east on the former D&RGW through the long cut at Mesa. In the foreground, Stacy & Witbeck earthmoving machines grade a parallel route for a new commuter rail line.
