| Soo 6008 followed by train 211 thumps over the BN at Grand Crossing and heads into a late evening sun as it continues on its Chicago-St.Paul trip. The track in the foreground with the missing rail was part of the CNW's line that had ran from Wyeville to Winona. After the CNW tunnel at Tunnel City had some issues the Northwestern begin using the Milwaukee Road from Tunnel City to Winona. The CNW then abandoned their line except for a short stretch around La Crosse that was left in to serve some local industries. |
