| Sometimes you just get lucky! - This was my first visit to Baltimore and the morning of exploration had just begun when we pulled up to Boston St. Within minutes of arriving at the crossing around the curve comes a headlight in perfect light. Not a bad way to start the day! This export coal train is working its way down the Bear Creek Running track which NS shares with the CSXT and Canton Railroad. This running track is an ex Conrail line that sees heavy NS & CSXT coal trains destined for the Consol export terminal as well as myriad industry jobs heading for the Dundalk Marine Terminal. The trailing unit is an ex Conrail SD60M that should feel right at home on these rails. |
