| A nose on view of one of the new Metrolink Hyundai-Rotem commuter cars graces the head end of westbound train 367 rolling toward to Los Angeles from San Bernardino. This scene shows an inbound commuter train gliding past Sunday afternoon traffic in the middle of Interstate 10 in true mass transit fashion. This line occupies what once was the San Bernardino Line of the Pacific Electric Railway, the private mass transit agency that pre-dated current efforts by almost a century. The Hyundai-Rotem cars improved crash design stems from the two tragic accidents that involved Metrolink trains in Glendale in 2005 and in again in Chatsworth in 2008. April 17th, 2011.
