| This is an FEC 439 Special pulling a transformer for Specialized Rail Transport on a 158’ 41/4” long 20 axle 450 ton Depressed Deck Railcar. The total weight of this railcar and its load is 1,426,000 lbs. It’s a slow go of 25mph from the Port of West Palm Beach to the Hialeah Yard. It will be turned over to CSX at the CSX-FEC Interchange for its trip to Homestead where it will be loaded onto a tractor trailer for its final destination at the Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant in Homestead, Fl. |
