It was a dull and gloomy day at Michel, BC where CPR H Liners 8727 and 8724 had a meet. Lots of crew interaction in this shot. This siding is still there today but everything else including the town, hotel and station are gone. The towns of Michel and Natal were moved in the 1970's two miles west to Sparwood to be closer to the coal that is still mined today.
Photos by some of the best railroad still photographers in North America. These photographers must have a significant impact on the art form and have been shooting (or shot in the past) for at least 10 years.
