| The next shot from my visit to the LRS shows 2 of their active units. LRS 9535 rests on one of the lead tracks to the old LRS yard while 2242 - on loan from the Knoxville & Holston River, another G&O property - rests inside the fence on one of the shop leads getting some attention. The LRS dieselized with several GE 70-tonners (which can be seen in Tom Sink's great collection on RP). Later came the fleet of SW1's which were eventually replaced with 4 SW1500's under G&O management. |
