| After waiting out a meet with a westbound, WC 5956, 5334 have a train of Auburn natural ore bound for interchange to the EJ&E on the move. This was one of a number of trainloads of raw ore moved by WC over a couple of year period. The ore wasn't shipped by lake boat due to a high moisture content that apparently played havoc with the self unloading equipment on the lake freighters. WC had good luck with its original purchase of ex BN SD45's and blessed with surging traffic picked up a rather large group of ATSF SD45/F45's around the time of the GBW/FRV purchase. |
