    Remarks & Notes
Eternally Approach At the 84.5 milepost on the NS Anniston District, one can still find a somewhat active semaphore alerting northbound trains to “approach distant” the interlocking with CSX that lies just a half mile away near downtown Talladega, Alabama. While the arm does not move like others in the state, it’s still a treat to see an illuminated semaphore next to a Class I main line. Click here for another exciting view of this unique semaphore signal.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
