AERC 1750 delivers a loaded box car to Western Pulp Products just moments before sunset on February 01, 2012. It was the first car to this customer since the Willamette & Pacific Railroad embargoed the Bailey District on June 16, 2007. The Venell Farms Railroad Company acquired 5.3 miles of the branch in 2010, and now has a new customer to serve on the Airport Industrial Park (AIP) spur. An $80,000 grant from ODOT Rail funded the rehabilitation of the two-track spur with 400+ new ties, additional ballast and resurfacing work.
