A windmill standing out in the high plains of West Texas helps frame UP 844 as the sun is about to set behind the 4-8-4 on 11/2/11. The train was behind a westbound UP auto train, waiting for an eastbound UP stack train to clear into the siding at Conlen along the former "Cotton Rock". The steam from the locomotive helped to create some pretty neat shadows, as the wind was blowing the steam to the south of the train. It was a wonderful end to a day that started off in near blizzard conditions in Eastern Colorado.
