Definitely not the terrain to build a railroad! Nevertheless, there was created a line up to the mine of Potrerillos in 1928. GR22CU # 94 of 1971 is pulling a train with 9 empty sulphuric acid tank cars from Llanta to Potrerillos in the most harsh but very scenic section of the line with a grade of about 3.0 %.
