During a visit up to Oakley to watch the Great Lakes Central drop off a unit grain train at Frutchey Bean company on the north end of the St. Charles branch, I was finally able to catch the GE 25-Tonner that the elevator owns. This little critter is able to haul 6 loaded grain cars north, and fortunately downhill, when the elevator is loading. It is rare anymore to see it downtown, especially with the new facility north of town.
