Twenty years ago, on October 26, 1992, Metrolink began operation. The infant commuter railroad served just three routes with 11 stations over 112 miles of track. Today, Metrolink has grown to seven routes and 55 stations over 512 miles of track with 44,000 daily commuters and over 160 daily trains. Here, one of those trains, #327 with new Hyundai Rotem cab car #644 in the lead, departs Claremont on the way to downtown Los Angeles.
