EMDX 1207 SD70ACe Serial 20116676-002 built 07-2012 sits outside the test area at Progress Rail in Muncie. The 1207 is one of about a half dozen demonstrator/ fleet units being produced in Muncie and are similar the units produced in London. Some quick differences externally between the London and Muncie units... 1. Low nose door window equipped on the Muncie units...not on the London built units. 2. Side intake at rear of locomotive on the Muncie units is more similar to a shutter like on the BHP, CN and FMG units and the London built units are more of the standard open grid type. 3. Long hood end access door for the Muncie units is shutter type and the London built units are screen type. This locomotive is the proud product of Progress Rail Locomotive Assembly in Muncie, IN. This locomotive is available for pre-order from Overland Models in HO scale brass.
