With Kasson in its rear view mirrors, train 277 is working upgrade and is about to meet its counterpart, the 276, before continuing west to Waseca, MN. Sad to think this may be the last time I shoot the 277 at this location. Unfortunate because this is such a photogenic location with the grain elevator and water tower in the background. Rumor has it the train is being renumbered and rerouted, just one of many changes by E. Hunter Harrison. The DM&E as I once knew it may become a thing of the past in the very near future.
