Great Northern Railway passenger power lays over at the roundhouse next to St. Paul Union Depot in the early 1960s. The F3As and E7As pictured here were used on the GN's premier trains, including the Empire Builder, Western Star, and Gopher. The Mississippi River is visible behind the roundhouse, and note the maroon Soo Line geep in the background at far left. Photography by Wallace W.
