| This station stop is... Perth Amboy. Two former Conrail SD40-2s, NS 3376 (ex-CR 6438) and CSX 8829 (ex-CR 6433) lead the Oak Island to Browns Yard transfer run down NJT's North Jersey Coast Line and through Perth Amboy station, one of only two stations between the Northeast Corridor and Long Branch with low-level platforms. This is the only station the OI-16 passes, as it enters the NJCL a mile north of here and splits off again just across the Raritan River in South Amboy. |
