| A Union Pacific eastbound freight works to conquer the 1.18% grade of the old Provo Subdivision mainline near Point of the Mountain. This secondary mainline lost its status as a through route when UP obtained trackage rights along the parallel D&RGW between Lakota Junction and Grant Tower (Salt Lake City) in November 1985. Commercial and residential development has altered the landscape in recent years with a new Cabela's retail store and an Adobe office tower springing up along the unused track. |
