Remarks & Notes

A Union Pacific GE U30C and three leased Rio Grande SD45s lead export coal west on the Provo Sub (now the Sharp Sub) near Payson, Utah. The UP 2918 would be retired from the active roster on Sept. 1, 1988 and sold to the Wilson Railway Co. of Des Moines, IA. Rio Grande's Tintic Branch trestle over the UP is visible in the background to the right.
